Tallible Privacy Policy

Tallible is a word and maths puzzle game developed by Lanmark Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information Tallible collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Device Identifier

When you first open Tallible, the app generates a random, anonymous identifier (e.g. “dev_a1b2c3d4e5f6g7h8”). This is not your hardware device ID, advertising ID, or any system identifier. It is a random string created and stored within the app. It is used solely to associate your game submissions and nickname with your device for leaderboard purposes.

This identifier is reset if you uninstall and reinstall the app.

1.2 Nickname

You may optionally set a display nickname (3-20 characters) which appears on public leaderboards. No real name, email address, or other personal information is required.

1.3 Game Data

When you complete a Daily Challenge puzzle, the following data is sent to our server:

• The word you formed
• Your score
• Time taken to solve the puzzle
• Number of hints used
• Game difficulty

All other game modes (Classic, Rush, Expert, Kids) are played entirely offline. Scores and statistics for these modes are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.

1.4 Country Detection

When your device connects to our server, we use your IP address to determine your country using a local open-source database (GeoIP Lite). This is used solely to enable country-specific leaderboard rankings. We do not store your IP address, and no precise location data (city, region, GPS coordinates) is collected or stored.

1.5 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Game settings (sound, music, haptics, hints, high contrast preferences)
• Game statistics (total games, scores, streaks, average times)
• Puzzle history (to avoid repeated puzzles, automatically deleted after 7 days)
• Daily Challenge completion records (automatically deleted after 30 days)

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Tallible does not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any personal contact information
• Your precise location or GPS data
• Photos, contacts, or any other data from your device
• Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies
• Biometric data
• Payment or financial information

Tallible contains no advertisements, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no third-party data collection services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third parties. Your data is used exclusively to operate the Tallible game and leaderboards.

4. Data Storage and Security

Server-side data (Daily Challenge submissions, nicknames, and country codes) is stored in a secure database hosted on Railway.app. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.

Locally stored data (settings, statistics, puzzle history) remains on your device and is managed by the operating system’s standard app storage.

5. Data Retention

• Local puzzle history: Automatically deleted after 7 days
• Local daily completion records: Automatically deleted after 30 days
• Local settings and statistics: Retained until you uninstall the app
• Server-side submissions: Retained to maintain leaderboard records
• Nicknames: Retained until you change them or uninstall the app

6. Children’s Privacy

Tallible includes a Kids Mode designed for children aged 7 and above. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Kids Mode operates with the same minimal data collection described in this policy — no personal information is required, and no account or login is needed. The optional nickname feature and Daily Challenge leaderboards are the only features that transmit any data to our servers.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete all local data by uninstalling the app. This removes your device identifier, settings, statistics, and all locally stored data.
• Change your nickname at any time in the app’s Settings screen.
• Request deletion of server-side data by contacting us at the email address below. We will delete your submissions, nickname, and associated data within 30 days.
• Play without submitting data — Classic, Rush, Expert, and Kids modes do not require any server connection.

8. Third-Party Services

Tallible uses the following third-party services:

• Railway.app — Server hosting (processes game submissions and leaderboard queries)
• Expo / EAS — App build and update delivery
• GeoIP Lite — Open-source local database for IP-to-country lookup (no external API calls)

No third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services are used.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of Tallible after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
